Kochi: The bodies of the students who died during the stampede at CUSAT’s concert held as part of the tech fest, were brought to the campus for public homage. After completing post-mortem procedures, the mortal remains of Sarah Thomas, Athul Thambi and Ann Rifta Roy were kept for the public to pay homage at the CUSAT campus.
Ann Rifta's funeral will be held on Tuesday, relatives said as her mother, who is currently in Italy, is yet to return. After the public homage, Ann’s body will be shifted to the Paravur Taluk hospital mortuary.
Sarah’s funeral will be held on Monday at the St. George’s Orthodox church, Engapuzha. After the public homage, her body will be taken to her home in Thamarassery.
Details of Athul’s funeral are awaited.
18 injured students were admitted to Kinder hospital and 16 of them have been discharged. Doctors say that their health condition is satisfactory.
