Her family has raised serious doubts about the circumstances surrounding her death, with her father, Gangadharan, insisting there were no familial issues or signs of distress before her passing.

Kasaragod: Chinnu Pappu, a well-known social media content creator, was found dead in her rented home in Uliyathadukka, Kasaragod, the other day. The 25-year-old, whose real name was Reshma, gained fame for her videos in the Kasaragod dialect on platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, where she showcased traditional cooking recipes.
Her family has raised serious doubts about the circumstances surrounding her death, with her father, Gangadharan, insisting there were no familial issues or signs of distress before her passing. "There was peace at home, and no problems were mentioned. I don’t know if she had issues with her male friend," he stated. "She was divorced and had a four-year-old child. She seemed happy and spoke to us cheerfully just the day before."
The family confirmed that Chinnu had last visited home on January 25, leaving in good spirits. Despite these reassurances, the police are investigating the role of a male acquaintance, who is under scrutiny as part of their inquiry. The family has provided relevant information regarding this person to the authorities.
Chinnu’s sudden death has sent shockwaves through the local community, particularly in Kasaragod, where she was a prominent figure in the local content creation scene. Known for her unique blend of Kannada, Malayalam, and Tulu, she had built a loyal following by producing videos focused on regional cuisine. She was also involved in several advertising campaigns and appeared on television programs.
As the investigation unfolds, the cause of death remains unclear, and police continue to gather evidence, including statements from Chinnu's acquaintances. The family is calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to her death.
