Kanjirappally: Rumors swirled in Kottayam over the alleged abduction of a six-year-old from a local school, leaving residents on edge. Information from Crime Stopper at the Kottayam SP Office reached Kanjirappally police on Wednesday morning, suggesting a child was taken near A.K.J.M. School in a white car.
Responding swiftly, Kanjirappally police scoured areas including National Highway 183, Ponkunnam, and Petta Kavala, while also examining nearby CCTV footage.
The spread of the abduction claim sparked concern among locals and online news platforms. Photos purportedly of the missing child flooded WhatsApp groups. However, it was later revealed that the incident was merely a police drill, putting an end to the false alarm.
