Businessman Bobby Chemmannur has publicly apologised to actress Honey Rose over remarks that led to a police case against him, saying he regrets the mental distress caused and requesting her to withdraw the complaint.

Businessman Bobby Chemmannur has issued a public apology to Malayalam actress Honey Rose, expressing regret over the remarks that led to criminal proceedings against him. In a statement shared on social media, Bobby accepted responsibility for his comments and appealed to the actress to withdraw the case.

He said he has always tried to treat people with kindness, respect and consideration and never intended to hurt or insult anyone through his social media posts or public comments.

'I take full responsibility'

In his statement, Bobby acknowledged that his remarks had caused emotional distress to Honey Rose and her family. "My statements about Ms. Honey Rose have caused significant distress to her and her family. I deeply apologise for the harm I have caused. I take full responsibility for my words and their impact."

He said he sincerely apologised for the pain caused, adding that he takes full responsibility for his words and their consequences. "I have never intentionally harmed or mistreated anyone and always strive to help others whenever possible. I occasionally share humour and light-hearted content on social media, but I never do so with the intention of offending, hurting, or causing distress to anyone."

Bobby maintained that he had no intention of hurting the actress but recognised the impact of his comments. He said: "I have no intention of causing any pain, and I hope that by offering this sincere apology, she will proceed to withdraw the case. I ask for this matter to be considered, and I am committed to moving forward positively."

He also expressed hope that Honey Rose would accept his apology and withdraw the legal case, saying he wanted to move forward positively.

What sparked the controversy?

The controversy began after Honey Rose alleged that Bobby Chemmanoor made an insulting double-entendre remark while attending an inauguration event.

Following the incident, the actress announced that she would no longer participate in events organised by his organisation.

She later posted on social media, without naming Bobby directly, alleging that an individual was deliberately attempting to tarnish her reputation through comments that insulted womanhood and targeted her as an act of revenge.

Police case and arrest

Following her allegations, Honey Rose filed a formal complaint with the police against Bobby Chemmanoor.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the businessman. He was subsequently released on bail.

There has been no public response from Honey Rose so far regarding Bobby Chemmanoor's latest apology or his request to withdraw the case.
