Ernakulam: Actress Honey Rose filed a complaint on Tuesday against businessman Bobby Chemmanur, accusing him of making "obscene remarks."
In a post shared on Instagram, the actress stated that she had filed a complaint at the Ernakulam Central Police Station against Chemmanur over the "continuous obscene remarks" directed at her.
She also mentioned that she would soon file complaints against others who share the same "mentality."
"There will be complaints against your associates as well, who share the same mentality as you. Believe in your money, but I believe in the strength of the law," she wrote.
The incident began when Honey Rose criticised an individual who had been posting double-meaning remarks about her online. She took to social media to call out the comments, following which several defamatory remarks appeared under her post. The actress filed a formal complaint with the Ernakulam Central Police regarding the matter. While a case has been registered against 30 individuals, only one person has been arrested so far.
Following the police action, Honey Rose took to social media to express her resolve. "If there are indecent and obscene references in the criticisms against me, I will come after you, studying all the protections given to women under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita," she wrote, declaring, "To the indecent and obscene language experts on social media, I declare war on you for all the women who are going through the same situation as me."
