Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP has announced its new list of state office bearers in Kerala, giving prominence to fresh faces and youth leaders. Interestingly, the list appears to sideline members associated with the V. Muraleedharan faction.

The party has appointed four general secretaries: M.T. Ramesh, Sobha Surendran, S. Suresh, and Anoop Antony. Former IPS officer R. Sreelekha and Shaun George have been named as vice presidents. Former general secretaries P. Sudheer and S. Krishnakumar will also serve as vice presidents. Of the four appointed, only M.T. Ramesh has been retained from the previous team.

“This marks the beginning of the journey to bring the party to power. I’ve been given this role as a representative of the youth. It’s a great responsibility and feels like a blessing,” Anoop Antony told Mathrubhumi News.

The new vice presidents include Dr. K.S. Radhakrishnan, C. Sadanandan, P. Sudheer, C. Krishnakumar, Adv. B. Gopalakrishnan, Dr. Abdul Salam, R. Sreelekha IPS, K. Soman, Adv. K.K. Aneesh Kumar, and Adv. Shaun George.

The appointed secretaries are Ashokan Kulanada, K. Ranjith, Renu Suresh, V.V. Rajesh, Pandalam Prathapan, Jiji Joseph, M.V. Gopakumar, Poonthura Sreekumar, P. Shyarej, and M.P. Anjana Ranjith. E. Krishnadas will serve as the treasurer.

Meanwhile, M.T. Ramesh dismissed speculations of factionalism, saying, “The BJP is united. Everyone is working with a common goal. Party responsibilities may change, but the work continues with the same spirit.” He added, “Regardless of the role assigned, our commitment to the party remains consistent.”
