Two Malayali Agniveer Navy cadets died in a bike accident in Goa; the bodies are at GMC morgue

Sasthamcotta (Kollam): Two Malayali Agniveer Navy cadets lost their lives in a bike accident in Agassaim, Goa, around 1 am on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Harigovind (22) from Sooranad, Kollam and Vishnu (21) from Kannur.
The cadets were posted on special duty in Goa from the Navy headquarters in Kochi and were returning to their base camp when the mishap occurred between Agassaim and the Holy Cross Shrine in Bambolim.
Reports suggest that the accident took place after the bike they were riding lost control and collided with a roadside divider. Hari and Vishnu had arrived in Goa aboard a Navy ship on Tuesday. Both were in the third year of their four-year Agniveer Navy service.
The bodies are currently at the Goa Medical College (GMC) Hospital morgue. Navy officials reached the morgue on Wednesday morning and confirmed their identities. Harigovind’s family has left for Goa. His mother, P.K. Sheeja, is a head nurse at Kollam District Hospital, and his sister is Dr. Ananya Prasannan.
