Kannur: Around 15 pilgrims have been injured and two of them are said to be in critical condition after the bus in which they were travelling met with an accident at Manantheri near Kuthuparamba here on Tuesday. 

The incident happened around 9:45 am when the pilgrims were returning from Kottiyoor temple. According to onlookers, the vehicle lost control and rammed into a bus waiting shed adjacent to the road. 

The front side of the bus has been wrecked. Locals, police, and fire and rescue officials rescued the people inside the bus. The injured were taken to different hospitals in the locality.

The injured persons are from Malappuram, said reports.
