BJP attacks Karnataka Congress after video shows namaz being offered at Bengaluru airport Terminal 2.

A political storm has erupted after a purported video surfaced showing people offering namaz inside Terminal 2 of Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. The clip, shared by BJP leader Vijay Prasad, quickly went viral and drew sharp criticism from the party.
The Karnataka BJP directly targeted the Congress government, demanding answers from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister Priyank Kharge. The party questioned, “How is this even allowed inside the T2 terminal of Bengaluru International Airport?”
BJP accuses Congress of double standards
Vijay Prasad accused the Congress government of following “double standards” and appeasing a particular community. He said it was ironic that the same government had raised objections to RSS events while allowing such activities inside a high-security airport zone.
The BJP demanded clarity on whether permission was granted for the prayers inside the terminal, calling it a matter of public concern.
Airport under BIAL management
While the BJP has pinned responsibility on the state government, the airport is run by Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL), a public-private venture.
