Uttar Pradesh: In a perplexing series of events, a 24-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district claims to have been bitten by a snake for the seventh time in just 40 days. The victim, identified as Vikas Dubey, has become the center of a mystery that has baffled both locals and authorities alike.
Chief Medical Officer Rajiv Nayan Giri, responding to the unusual case, revealed that Dubey had approached the Collectorate, seeking financial aid.
"The victim came to the Collectorate in tears, explaining that he had spent a substantial amount of money on treatment for the snake bites. He requested financial assistance from the authorities," Giri stated. "I advised him to visit a government-run hospital where he could receive anti-snake venom free of cost."
He further said that it is very strange that a person is bitten by a snake every Saturday.
"We still need to figure out if it is actually a snake that's biting him. We also need to see the competence of the doctor who is treating him. A person being bitten by a snake every Saturday and that person being admitted to the same hospital every time, and recovering in just one day seems strange," he said.
In light of these anomalies, the Chief Medical Officer has assembled a three-doctor team to delve into the mystery.
According to officials,Dubey has been taken to the hospital each time he was allegedly bitten and has consistently recovered following treatment.
