Mumbai: Senior Maharashtra political leader Sharad Pawar was discharged on Wednesday after being under medical care for mild dehydration.

Doctors treating him at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune confirmed that his condition is stable and he is recovering well. Medical reports returned normal, and there were no complications during treatment.

Pawar, aged 85, was admitted to the hospital on February 23 after experiencing dehydration symptoms. Earlier medical statements had assured that his condition was improving steadily.

The chief cardiologist of the hospital said Pawar is completely stable and is travelling to Mumbai following discharge. Doctors had previously indicated that he would be able to return home once recovery was confirmed.
