Hamirpur (HP): In a shocking incident, 25 members of a family were injured in a wasp attack on Monday morning in Hamirpur district while attending a wedding.

The family, including the groom, Naveen Singh, had gone to the Guga temple as part of their wedding rituals. After performing the puja, they were suddenly attacked by a swarm of wasps near the temple premises. The unexpected assault led to chaos as everyone tried to escape the painful stings.

The affected individuals were rushed to Nadaun Hospital for medical attention, where they are currently receiving treatment. According to Dilip Singh, the groom’s father, five of the victims are in critical condition, while others, including the groom, have sustained serious injuries.

The atmosphere turned into one of distress, and the family temporarily halted the wedding proceedings in the wake of the attack.

In a similar incident on Saturday evening, two women were stung by honey bees while cutting grass in the Kar Yalag (Jol) village of Bilaspur district.
