New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the people of Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Haryana, and Chhattisgarh on their respective state formation days, lauding their unique cultural heritage and contributions to the nation’s growth.

The Prime Minister, who is visiting Chhattisgarh to mark the 25th anniversary of the state’s formation, praised its transformation and resilience.

“This state, dedicated to nature and culture, is today engaged in setting ever-new benchmarks of progress. Many areas here, once affected by Naxalism, are now competing in development,” he said.

Expressing confidence in Chhattisgarh’s bright future, he added, “With the dedication and enterprise of its hardworking and skilled people, the state will play a pivotal role in realising the vision of a developed India.”

Extending greetings on Kannada Rajyotsava, Modi lauded Karnataka’s industrious spirit and rich culture. “Today, we celebrate the spirit of excellence and industrious nature that the people of Karnataka are synonymous with. The state embodies the spirit of progress rooted in wisdom,” he said, praying for the well-being of its people.

On Kerala Piravi, the Prime Minister hailed the state’s global achievements and timeless beauty.

“Kerala’s scenic landscapes and centuries-old heritage reflect India’s vibrant cultural grandeur. Its people have excelled in diverse sectors across the world,” he said, wishing them good health and success.

Greeting the people of Madhya Pradesh, he said the state, “nestled in the heart of India,” is infusing new energy into every sector by prioritising people’s aspirations.

Congratulating the people of Haryana, Modi said, “This historic land has been an example for the entire country due to the hard work of our farmers, the valour of our soldiers, and the remarkable performance of our youth.”

Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Lakshadweep came into being on this day in 1956, while Punjab and Haryana were formed in 1966, and Chhattisgarh was carved out of Madhya Pradesh in 2000.
