A viral video allegedly featuring Lashkar-e-Taiba deputy chief Saifullah Kasuri has sparked fresh controversy, with the terror leader claiming that the Pakistan Army invites him to lead funeral prayers—remarks seen as an open admission of ties between Pakistan’s military and terror outfits.

A viral video purportedly featuring Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) deputy chief Saifullah Kasuri has reignited serious allegations about Pakistan’s long-suspected links with terror outfits operating from its soil.
In the video, Kasuri is heard making startling claims about his proximity to the Pakistan Army, suggesting institutional support for the banned terror organisation.

In the clipping, which is said to be from an event held at a children’s school in Pakistan, Kasuri can be seen standing on a raised platform decorated with red balloons, addressing a gathering. During his speech, he claims that the Pakistan Army invited him to lead funeral prayers for fallen personnel.
“Pakistan’s Army calls me to lead funeral prayers. Do you know India is also scared of me?” he says in the video, drawing cheers from the audience.
While the authenticity of the video has not yet been independently verified, its circulation on social media has triggered sharp reactions, particularly in India.
The remarks are being seen as a rare public admission that reinforces long-standing accusations by India and the international community that Pakistan’s military establishment maintains close ties with extremist groups, despite repeated denials by Islamabad.
Lashkar-e-Taiba, designated as a terrorist organisation by India, the United Nations, the United States, and several other countries, has been linked to multiple terror attacks in India, including the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
India has consistently maintained that LeT operates freely in Pakistan with the backing of elements within the state and military apparatus, a charge Pakistan has officially rejected over the years.
Security experts say Kasuri’s comments, if genuine, are significant as they come from one of the most senior leaders of the terror group and appear to boast openly of his relationship with the Pakistani military.
Analysts believe such statements undermine Pakistan’s repeated claims on global platforms that it has taken decisive action against terror networks.
The video also raises questions about the environment in which such speeches are delivered, especially at a venue reportedly associated with a school, highlighting concerns over radicalisation and the normalisation of extremist rhetoric in public spaces.
As the clip continues to circulate, calls are growing for international agencies to take note of the remarks and seek clarity from Pakistan on its counter-terror commitments. For now, the video has once again brought Pakistan’s alleged terror links into sharp global focus, adding fuel to an already contentious issue.
