Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashes in Ahmedabad, killing over 240 passengers and injuring dozens. Investigation underway.

New video has emerged showing the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, carrying over 240 people bound for London, crashing shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
The cause of the crash remains unclear as investigations are just beginning. The aircraft, a wide-body, twin-engine Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, marks the first fatal crash for this model since it entered service in 2009, according to the Aviation Safety Network database.
Air India confirmed the passenger manifest for Flight AI-171, which was en route to London Gatwick Airport, included 169 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian. Tragically, a portion of the plane fell onto a medical college in Ahmedabad, resulting in the deaths of at least five medical students and injuring nearly 50, as reported by a medical association.
This devastating aviation disaster occurred just days before the highly anticipated opening of the Paris Air Show, a major international expo where aviation giants Boeing and European rival Airbus are set to showcase their latest aircraft and compete for new orders.
Authorities have launched a full investigation into the Ahmedabad crash, with recovery efforts and the search for flight recorders ongoing.
