Patna: As the NDA swept the Bihar Assembly polls, Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Sunday said that the new Bihar government will be formed before November 22, with discussions among alliance partners currently underway.

“It will be done soon. Discussions are going on. A sense of clarity will come on the blueprint of the government. I think by tonight, I will also speak with senior Union Ministers, and the blueprint will be ready by today or tomorrow. We have to form the government before 22nd November. It will be done,” Paswan told reporters.

The tenure of the current Bihar Legislative Assembly ends on November 22, 2025, making government formation a priority for the ruling alliance.

NDA’s big win: BJP, JD(U), LJP(RV) secure massive majority

The NDA stormed to a three-fourths majority in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, winning 202 seats.

BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 89 seats, JD(U) followed closely with 85, LJP (Ram Vilas) won 19 seats, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) bagged 5, Rashtriya Lok Morcha secured 4.

The sweeping victory dealt a massive blow to the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, with the RJD managing only 25 seats despite contesting more than 140.

Chirag Paswan responds to Lalu Yadav family feud, shows empathy

Amid the political churn, Chirag Paswan chose not to comment directly on Rohini Acharya’s explosive decision to quit politics and distance herself from Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family. However, he expressed empathy, citing his own experiences with family crises.

“I will not make any comments on this because I can understand the mental status when a family goes through such a difficult situation. I have also been through this,” Paswan told ANI.

Despite political rivalries, Paswan said he has always held affection for Lalu’s children.

“We might have had political differences but I have always considered Lalu ji’s family my own. Be it Tejashwi, Tej, Misa, or Rohini, I have considered them my siblings,” he said.

He added that family unity strengthens public life, “I pray that this family dispute is resolved at the earliest. If there is unity in the family, a person can fight tough situations outside. The family must be going through a tough situation.”

Rohini Acharya’s explosive allegations rock Bihar’s political circles

Meanwhile, Rohini Acharya, who donated a kidney to her father Lalu Prasad Yadav, ignited a controversy with emotional social-media posts accusing her family of humiliation, abuse, and neglect.

She alleged that she was “thrown out,” “abused,” and made to feel “worthless,” claiming a deep personal betrayal at a time when the RJD faces a historic electoral setback.

Her revelations have triggered intense speculation and debate within Bihar’s political landscape, coinciding with the party’s poor performance in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.

While the NDA prepares to form the new Bihar government, the RJD grapples with an internal crisis fueled by Rohini Acharya’s allegations and the party’s electoral collapse.
