Tensions across the Middle East surged further on Tuesday as explosions were reported in both Dubai and Qatar’s capital, Doha, against the backdrop of the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.

Residents in Dubai received emergency alerts on their mobile phones urging them to immediately move to safe locations due to possible missile threats, triggering widespread concern across the city.

At sea, a separate security incident added to the growing unease. A commercial tanker sailing roughly 23 nautical miles off the coast of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates was struck by what authorities described as an “unknown projectile.”

The impact caused limited structural damage, but no casualties were reported. Maritime authorities are investigating the origin and nature of the strike.

In another development, a fire broke out in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone following what officials believe was a drone attack attributed to Iran. Emergency teams responded swiftly, and no injuries have been confirmed so far.

Meanwhile, the regional conflict continued to expand beyond immediate battle zones. In Iraq, multiple drones and rockets targeted the US Embassy in Baghdad, marking one of the most intense assaults since hostilities escalated. Security sources indicated that at least five drones were involved in the attack.

The conflict, now entering its third week, shows no signs of de-escalation. Israel has indicated it is preparing for several more weeks of sustained military operations, while Iran has strongly condemned ongoing strikes, warning of serious risks to civilian lives.

Adding to concerns over maritime safety, global shipping authorities have cautioned that naval escorts in the Strait of Hormuz cannot fully guarantee the protection of vessels. The warning underscores growing risks to one of the world’s most critical energy transit routes as the conflict intensifies.
