Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has postponed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled for Sunday after the question paper was allegedly leaked nearly 24 hours before the examination.

According to sources, the paper was leaked from Thane, prompting police to launch an operation following a tip-off.

During the raid, officers reportedly recovered the leaked question paper and detained several individuals in connection with the case. Their identities have not yet been disclosed.

Following the alleged leak, the School Education Department decided to postpone the examination to protect the integrity of the recruitment process. A revised date for the TET exam will be announced later.

An official confirmation from the Maharashtra Education Department is awaited. Sources said the department is expected to issue a detailed press note on the incident shortly, outlining the circumstances surrounding the alleged leak and the next course of action.

The latest incident has once again raised concerns over the security of competitive examinations, with authorities expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged paper leak.
