Three children were killed and their parents critically injured after a loaded trailer allegedly lost control and crashed into a family waiting by the roadside on Jaipur's Delhi-Ajmer Highway near the 200 Feet Bypass on Tuesday morning.

A family waiting for transport on Jaipur's busy Delhi-Ajmer Highway suffered a devastating tragedy on Tuesday morning when a speeding trailer allegedly lost control and rammed into them, killing three children on the spot and leaving their parents critically injured.
The fatal crash occurred near the 200 Feet Bypass junction on Ajmer Road, one of Jaipur's key traffic corridors. According to police, the family had been standing beside the highway while waiting for a vehicle when the heavily loaded trailer veered off its path, struck all five members, and crashed into a roadside safety barrier.
Police said the accident took place between 8:45 am and 9:00 am near a hotel along the main Delhi-Ajmer Highway. The trailer, which was transporting bags of plaster of Paris (POP), was travelling from the Jaipur side towards Ajmer when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
Traffic officials identified the victims as members of the Bagadiya community, believed to be residents of Rajasthan's Rajsamand district.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Amir Hasan said the trailer struck all five family members before crashing into the roadside barrier. The three children died in the accident, while their parents were rushed to hospital and are currently undergoing treatment for serious injuries.
The bodies of the deceased children were sent to the mortuary at Sawai Man Singh Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
The accident also led to significant traffic congestion on Ajmer Road during the morning rush hour as authorities cleared the damaged vehicle and managed traffic movement in the area.
