IndiGo to launch non-stop flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam starting July 2025

IndiGo is set to expand its international network with the introduction of non-stop flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam. These new routes, marking the airline's entry into long-haul international travel, will commence in July 2025.

Flight Schedules:

  • Mumbai to Manchester: Starting July 1, 2025, IndiGo will operate thrice-weekly flights on this route. The flights will depart from Mumbai at 4:00 AM IST and arrive in Manchester at 7:55 AM GMT. The return flight will leave Manchester at 10:55 AM GMT and land in Mumbai at 11:35 PM IST.
  • Mumbai to Amsterdam: Commencing July 2, 2025, this route will also operate three times a week. Flights will depart Mumbai at 5:30 AM IST and arrive in Amsterdam at 11:30 AM CEST. The return leg will depart Amsterdam at 2:00 PM CEST and arrive in Mumbai at 11:30 PM IST.

Both routes will be serviced by leased Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners from Norse Atlantic Airways, featuring 282 economy and 56 business class seats. In a significant upgrade to its service offerings, IndiGo will provide complimentary hot meals and beverages to all passengers on these international flights, enhancing the in-flight experience.

The decision to launch these routes from Mumbai, rather than Delhi, is influenced by the ongoing airspace restrictions over Pakistan, which would necessitate longer flight paths from Delhi. By operating from Mumbai, IndiGo aims to optimize flight durations and fuel efficiency.

This expansion positions IndiGo as a competitive player in the long-haul international market, offering affordable travel options between India and key European destinations. The introduction of complimentary meals and beverages aligns with international travel standards and enhances the airline's appeal to budget-conscious travelers seeking quality service.

With the launch of these new routes, IndiGo is set to redefine the landscape of low-cost long-haul travel, providing passengers with more choices and greater connectivity between India and Europe.
