The arrest comes amid a recent surge of bomb threat messages targeting the Delhi High Court

New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested a man from Mysuru for allegedly sending more than 1,100 hoax bomb threats to schools, high courts and government offices across India, officials said on Monday.
The accused, identified as 47-year-old Srinivas Louis, was taken into custody at his rented accommodation on Saturday following a joint operation between Delhi Police and local authorities.
The arrest comes amid a recent surge of bomb threat messages targeting the Delhi High Court, the legislative assembly, and numerous educational and government institutions.
Police said Louis, a postgraduate from Bengaluru, is currently unemployed and lives with his mother, a retired government employee.
A senior officer said: “Preliminary investigations indicate he may have been under mental stress. During initial questioning, the accused admitted sending over 1,100 threat messages across the country via email and other communication platforms.”
Authorities confirmed that multiple FIRs were filed in various states in response to the threats.
