Anmol Bishnoi's link to Baba Siddique murder case

Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been linked to the ongoing investigation into the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, as revealed by the Mumbai crime branch. The development comes after new revelations during the interrogation of key accused, including Shubham Lonkar, who had direct contact with Anmol.

On October 12, Siddique was shot dead by three gunmen near his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai’s Bandra area. One of the alleged shooters, Shivkumar Gautam, remained at the crime scene for 20 minutes after the killing. During this time, he disposed of his weapon, shirt, and Aadhaar card before leaving the location.

Gautam later traveled to Lilavati Hospital to confirm Siddique's death and, upon hearing of the police's pursuit of suspects, discarded his mobile phone while en route to Kurla railway station. Investigations are ongoing to track his phone.

The crime branch's investigation revealed that Shubham Lonkar, a wanted suspect in the murder conspiracy, had been in direct contact with Anmol Bishnoi. Furthermore, Lonkar was found to have undergone AK-47 training in the dense forests near Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, along with other arrested individuals. Officials are now probing whether the training was linked to Naxalites.

Moreover, the conspiracy involved the transfer of money from arrested accused Anurag Kashyap and Gyan Prakash Tripathi to a scrap dealer named Harish Kumar. This money was subsequently used to fund the shooters' activities.

The case continues to deepen with Bishnoi’s ties to the gang responsible for the murder, and his name has surfaced in connection with other potential criminal activities.
