The Miss World 2026 pageant has concluded in Vietnam, with Joheirry Mola of the Dominican Republic taking home the coveted crown.

Thailand’s reigning Miss World, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, crowned Mola as her successor at the grand finale.

Spain’s Elisabeth Reynes finished as the first runner-up, while Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty was named the second runner-up.

The competition’s Top 6 finalists included representatives from across the globe, with each finalist advancing through a different regional or special recognition category.

Mola’s victory gives the Dominican Republic the Miss World 2026 title, while Reynes and Chetty completed the top three positions.

Miss World 2025 winner Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand crowned her successor at the end of the event.

Who is Joheirry Mola?

The newly crowned Miss World 2026, Joheirry Mola, is described by the Miss World organisation as a “dedicated educator, community advocate, and communicator” with a strong focus on education and community development.

Mola holds a degree in Business Management and Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana. She is the founder and president of Voices of Tomorrow, an initiative focused on expanding access to English education for children and young people in vulnerable communities.

As an educator, Mola teaches Literature and Social Studies in English, with an emphasis on encouraging critical thinking and holistic development among students.

Beyond education, Mola has also worked in media. She serves as a correspondent for Univision New York's Ventana a Quisqueya, where she covers Dominican culture, social issues and community stories.

She is also a Goya Gives Ambassador and professional model. According to the Miss World profile, her work is driven by human connection, empathy and the values she learned from her closely connected family.

India's Nikita Porwal bows out after a Top 40 finish

India’s journey at the 73rd Miss World came to an end with finalist Nikita Porwal concluding her campaign among the Top 40 contestants, bringing the country’s run at the global pageant to a close.

While she did not advance to the next stage of the competition, Porwal’s performance marked India’s presence on the international stage and brought her pageant journey to a close among the world’s leading contestants.
