Akasa Air’s website and mobile app are experiencing intermittent technical issues, causing difficulties for passengers trying to book flights, check in, or manage their existing bookings. The disruption affected several key online services that travellers rely on, especially during the busy holiday and wedding-season rush.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the airline said:

“Our Website and Mobile App are currently experiencing intermittent issues and some of our online services, including booking, check-in and manage booking services, may be temporarily affected.”

The airline did not specify the cause of the glitch but assured passengers that its technical teams were working urgently to resolve the problem. Airport counters and customer support channels remained functional, allowing passengers to complete their travel formalities offline.

Impact on Passengers

Travellers reported facing difficulties while attempting to book new flights, check in online ahead of departure, modify or view their existing bookings or download boarding pass.

Many passengers took to social media to express confusion and concern, especially those travelling on short-notice flights or carrying only digital documents. With online check-in unavailable, several passengers were directed to airport counters, creating longer queues at some terminals.

Akasa Air said it is working to restore normal operations “at the earliest” and advised passengers to arrive at airports well in advance of their flights until the issue is fully resolved. The airline also requested passengers to stay updated through official channels and said it will share further information once services are stabilised.

While Akasa did not confirm whether any flights were impacted directly by the technical issue, the inability to check in online caused inconvenience for many travellers.

For now, passengers flying with Akasa Air are being advised to reach the airport earlier than usual and carry the physical copies of ID and booking details. Passengers also need to use the airline counters for check-in. The airline has requested the passengers to keep track of updates on Akasa’s official social media channels

Akasa Air has apologised to passengers for the inconvenience and said it is working to restore smooth digital access as quickly as possible
