A candidate from Nagpur has reportedly been assigned an overseas examination centre in Abu Dhabi for the Re-NEET UG 2026, following an apparent technical error in the admit card issued by the National Testing Agency.

Admit card error sends student abroad on paper

The candidate, Abdullah Mohammad Talib, discovered the issue after downloading his admit card from the official NTA portal. Instead of being allotted a test centre within India, the document listed an examination venue at a school in Abu Dhabi.

The student had applied for the exam from Nagpur and reportedly does not possess a passport, making it impossible for him to travel abroad to sit for the examination.

Preferred cities ignored in allocation

According to the family, the candidate had selected Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara as his preferred exam centres during the application process. However, his admit card instead showed an overseas allocation.

NTA acknowledges technical glitch

Following the issue being flagged to officials, the National Testing Agency reportedly acknowledged the discrepancy, attributing it to a technical glitch. The agency has assured the candidate’s family that a corrected admit card will be issued with an appropriate centre in India.

Exam scheduled for June 21

The Re-NEET UG 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on June 21 in pen-and-paper mode from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. Candidates are advised to carefully verify their admit cards and immediately report any discrepancies in personal details or examination centre allocation.
