A man has been arrested in Muzaffarnagar for allegedly circulating an objectionable AI-generated video involving Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath.

Muzaffarnagar: Police in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar have arrested a man for allegedly circulating an objectionable AI-generated video involving Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media.
The accused, identified as Shahnawaz, was arrested in Mirapur town of Muzaffarnagar district, police said on Tuesday.
According to police, the video was created using artificial intelligence and was circulated on WhatsApp. The matter came to light on Monday.
Mirapur police station SHO Rajiv Sharma said a case was registered against Shahnawaz under Section 197 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), relating to imputations or assertions prejudicial to national integration.

What police said
Police have alleged that the video contained objectionable material targeting Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath.
The case concerns the alleged creation and circulation of the AI-generated content on social media.
