The teenager was rescued unhurt after a high-speed chase led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of CR Park police station and his team

New Delhi: A shocking case of violence among school students emerged from South Delhi after a Class 11 boy was allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint from outside a private school in Greater Kailash following a fight between two student groups, police said on Saturday.
The teenager was rescued unhurt after a high-speed chase led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of CR Park police station and his team, who intercepted the suspects’ vehicle soon after the abduction on Friday, officials said.
According to police, four minors have been detained, and a country-made pistol along with 20 live cartridges was recovered from their possession.
The incident occurred on October 24 when a minor altercation inside the school escalated into a violent confrontation. The victim, a resident of CR Park, told the police that the dispute began between his classmate and another student.
Following the argument, the elder brother of one of the accused allegedly called the victim and his friends, threatening them with dire consequences.
“He told us over the phone that he had committed murders before and warned that he would kill me after school hours,” the victim said in his statement to the police.
Alarmed by the threat, the student informed his father, who immediately approached the CR Park police station and briefed the SHO about the situation.
Police said that around 2 p.m., when school ended, the boy stepped out of the campus and noticed three SUVs parked near the gate — one black vehicle with a number plate and two others without registration plates.
“Suddenly, the accused stepped out of the vehicles. They grabbed me by the collar, pressed a pistol to my waist and forced me into their Scorpio. The accused said they were taking me to Noida and would kill me so that even my body would not be found,” the boy told investigators.
Acting swiftly on the father’s alert, the SHO and his team rushed to the area and pursued the fleeing SUV. They managed to intercept one of the vehicles and rescue the teenager safely, while the other two escaped.
“Four minors have been apprehended. A country-made pistol and 20 live cartridges were seized from their possession. Efforts are on to trace the remaining accused who fled from the spot,” a senior police officer said.
The detained minors were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, which granted police two days’ remand for further questioning.
Authorities said they are investigating how the teenagers obtained the weapon and whether any adult was involved in planning the abduction.
