Man arrested in Madurai for alleged assault on Technopark woman in Kazhakkoottam hostel.

Thiruvananthapuram: Police have arrested a man in connection with the alleged assault of a young woman in her hostel room at Kazhakkoottam.
According to police, the accused, a lorry driver, was taken into custody in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. His name and other details have not yet been released. It is learnt that the suspect will be brought to Kazhakkoottam soon for further investigation.
Complaint filed by Technopark employee
The woman, an employee of an IT company in Technopark, filed a police complaint on Friday. The suspect reportedly pushed open the hostel door and entered her room while she was inside. On raising an alarm, the attacker fled the scene. She immediately lodged a complaint with Kazhakkoottam police, who registered a case and launched an investigation.
Forum demands enhanced safety measures
Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum of Infopark employees in Kerala, expressed concern over the reported assault. The forum called for regular safety audits of hostels in and around Kazhakkoottam and urged police to intensify patrolling in areas surrounding Technopark to ensure the safety of women employees.
