Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum of Infopark employees in Kerala, has raised concern over reports that a young woman working at an IT company in Technopark was allegedly assaulted in her hostel room at Kazhakkoottam.

In an official statement issued on Saturday, the forum said, “We stand united in strongly condemning the shocking incident against a woman IT employee. Arrest the culprit at the earliest! Safety and dignity are absolute rights.”

Forum extends support to the victim

The forum stated that the incident should never have happened and assured complete support to help the employee overcome the psychological trauma caused by it.

Calls for stronger police probe and safety audits

Prathidhwani demanded a thorough police investigation and urged authorities to arrest the accused without delay and ensure exemplary punishment.

The forum also called for regular safety audits of hostels in and around Kazhakkoottam and requested that police patrolling be intensified in areas surrounding Technopark to ensure the safety of women employees.
