Deoghar, Jharkhand: As the Union Budget approaches, residents of Deoghar, renowned for the sacred Baidyanath Dham, are hopeful for key announcements that could transform the city’s infrastructure and economy.

A major demand is the construction of a dedicated corridor around the Baidyanath Dham, similar to projects in Varanasi and Ujjain, aimed at enhancing the experience for devotees and pilgrims.

Despite having an airport since 2022, Deoghar currently lacks international flights and direct connections to Ranchi. Locals are calling for the resumption of flights to Ranchi, which were discontinued last year, and the introduction of international services to attract more tourists and facilitate pilgrimage.

Beyond transport, residents are emphasizing the need for job creation, particularly in manufacturing, to provide steady employment opportunities for the city’s youth.

The people of Deoghar hope this year’s Union Budget will deliver improved infrastructure, better connectivity, and economic development that supports both the city’s spiritual significance and its growth as a thriving regional hub.
