'The Kerala Story' was telecast on on Doordarshan on April 5 despite protests from CPM and Congress in Kerala. The movie was also screened in the churches of Idukki diocese on April 4 following which Thamarassery and Thalassery dioceses have decided to screen the movie as well. The movie's trailer, back at the time of its release, had faced criticism and legal challenges for falsely claiming that 32,000 women from Kerala were converted to Islam and radicalized for terror missions. As debates rage on, 'The Kerala Story' continues to ignite passions and divisions across the state.
