In a landmark spectacle for Rajkot, the city witnessed a breathtaking Mega Air Show organised jointly by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation and the Indian Air Force, drawing thousands of enthusiastic spectators.

The event opened with a stunning performance by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, whose aircraft streaked across the sky in sharp formations, flawless loops, dives and precision rolls, leaving the crowd enthralled. Their synchronised manoeuvres turned the Rajkot skyline into a theatre of aerial artistry.

Another major attraction was the Aakashganga skydiving team, whose high-altitude jumps and intricate free-fall formations held the audience spellbound. Adding to the patriotic fervour, the IAF band performed powerful martial tunes that echoed across the venue.

Residents gathered in large numbers, many experiencing such a large-scale aviation showcase for the first time, and praised the grandeur and energy of the event.

As part of the celebrations, a defence exhibition featuring weapons, aircraft models, and advanced military equipment is open to the public until Sunday, offering a rare, close-up look at India’s defence capabilities and technology.
