Suresh Gopi grabs Thrissur this time by a significant margin of over 74,686 votes, making the constituency a focal point for the BJP in Kerala. His closest contender was LDF's VS Sunilkumar, followed by UDF's K Muraleedharan. Suresh Gopi has bagged 4,12,338 votes.
