Students offer prayers for Nowgam blast victims at Jammu school
Students in Jammu held a candlelight prayer to honour victims of the Nowgam and Red Fort blasts.
Jammu: Students of Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School in Jammu held a solemn prayer ceremony on Saturday to honour the nine persons who lost their lives and the 27 others who were injured in the accidental blast at Nowgam Police Station. Gathering in the school courtyard, the students lit candles and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased and the swift recovery of the injured. They also offered special prayers in memory of those killed in the Red Fort blast in Delhi.
Nine people were killed and numerous others were injured when a huge explosion rocked the Nowgam police station in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, late on Friday night. According to officials, the blast occurred while police officers and a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team were inspecting explosive material recently recovered from Faridabad as part of a white-collar terror module investigation.
