A 19-year-old student died after being struck by a car carrying Travancore Devaswom Board President K Jayakumar at Koodal Junction on the Punalur–Muvattupuzha road while traveling to college.
Punalur (Kerala): A student died after being hit by the car in which Travancore Devaswom Board president K Jayakumar was travelling. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Nandu (19), a resident of Kunnakkat at Ilakolloor here.
The accident occurred at around 8 am on Thursday at Koodal Junction on the Punalur–Muvattupuzha road. The Devaswom Board president was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram towards Sabarimala when the collision took place.
The student was coming from the Konni side towards IHRD College in Kalanjoor at the time of the incident.
