As air pollution in Delhi plunges to hazardous levels, a growing number of residents from the national capital are heading to Srinagar for a breath of clean, fresh air. The Jammu and Kashmir summer capital, already famed for its snow-capped mountains, shimmering lakes and serene landscapes, is now witnessing a surge in footfall from Delhi tourists desperate for respite from the choking smog.
Travellers are swarming to the city, especially from Delhi, in order to get away from the deadly smog that still suffocates the nation's capital.
Some tourists say, after Delhi, their experience with the pollution-free air in Srinagar has come as a welcome relief.
With Delhi’s pollution crisis expected to persist, destinations like Srinagar, with its cleaner skies and scenic charm, are likely to draw even more visitors in the coming weeks
