The International Astronomical Union has globally recognized the name 'Shiv Shakti' for the official landing point of Chandrayaan-3's lander, Vikram. The name was suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 26, 2023, after the lander touched down on the lunar surface on August 23 of the same year.
