Mass fish kill was reported early on Tuesday after the suspected release of effluents from industries upriver in the Eloor-Edayar in Ernakulam district. Fishermen have reported losses amounting to lakhs of rupees and are urging authorities to find ways to look into the matter and grant cost relief.
