Director Travis Knight says his new fantasy action film Masters of the Universe is a passion project shaped by his childhood love for the iconic toy franchise. Speaking about the film's release, Knight said understanding what made the original characters and mythology special was essential to creating a faithful adaptation.

The film stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, who returns to the planet Eternia to confront the evil Skeletor, played by Jared Leto. Knight revealed that the film draws inspiration from multiple versions of the franchise while crafting a cohesive story for modern audiences.

The filmmaker emphasised that trends do not drive his creative choices, focusing instead on storytelling, emotion and memorable action. Released in India in multiple languages, Masters of the Universe aims to introduce He-Man's legendary journey to longtime fans and a new generation of moviegoers.
