From AI-generated designs to handmade devotion, Saharanpur gears up for Kanwar Yatra
AI-generated religious prints and Mahakal designs are driving Kanwar Yatra merchandise sales in Saharanpur as traders prepare for the annual pilgrimage.
As Kanwar Yatra 2026 approaches, markets in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, are witnessing brisk business as shops stock AI-generated religious merchandise, saffron T-shirts, scarves, flags and banners for thousands of devotees expected to travel along the pilgrimage route.
Many of the products are made by Muslim artisans who have been involved in this work for several years and say people continue to work together in harmony. This year's Kanwar Yatra will begin on July 30 and conclude on August 11.
