In 2014, Sajul’s life took a dramatic turn when he was electrocuted after coming into contact with a power transmission line, resulting in the loss of two limbs. What could have ended his dreams instead became the beginning of a powerful mission.
Defying physical limitations and social expectations, Sajul set out on a nationwide cycling tour 11 months ago from his hometown in Jharkhand. On Tuesday, his journey brought him to Bikaner.
For Sajul, this is not about adventure or records. His goal is simple but profound: to prove that no challenge—big or small—should become an excuse to stop pursuing one’s goals. Through every kilometre he covers, he hopes to inspire others to believe that determination can overcome even the harshest odds.
Through his effort, he wants to send a message that nothing is impossible if one sets their mind to achieving something.
So far, Sajul has cycled through 16 states, drawing admiration and encouragement from people he meets along the way. He says the love, respect and support he receives from strangers keep him motivated to continue.
From Bikaner, Sajul is now heading towards Haryana, carrying forward his message of resilience—one pedal stroke at a time.
