Every morning for the past few days, BJP MLA Surinder Bhagat from the Marh block in Jammu has been travelling across the area on a bicycle, meeting residents and listening to their concerns directly at the grassroots level.

Locals have been spotting the legislator cycling through villages and neighbourhoods as part of his daily outreach efforts.

Bhagat said he adopted the eco-friendly mode of travel following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to citizens to conserve fuel and promote sustainable practices.

Known for his active engagement with the public, the MLA regularly organises grievance redressal camps.
