New Delhi: A 21-year-old woman, the daughter of a senior IRS officer, was found murdered at her residence in southeast Delhi’s Amar Colony, police said.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was allegedly sexually assaulted before being strangled with a mobile phone charger cable, according to sources. She was reportedly alone at home when the incident occurred.
Police suspect the involvement of a former domestic help who had been dismissed from work over a month ago. The suspect is currently absconding, and efforts are underway to trace and apprehend him. Further investigation is in progress.
