Ahead of International Yoga Day 2026, Jabalpur is witnessing a unique celebration that combines yoga, wellness, heritage conservation and nature at the historic Jal Mandir. As preparations intensify across India for International Day of Yoga on June 21, local yoga instructors are encouraging people to embrace healthy living while discovering the cultural significance of heritage spaces.

Three instructors have brought yoga sessions to the iconic location to promote physical and mental well-being and strengthen public engagement with Jabalpur’s historical identity. Participants say practising yoga in a peaceful heritage environment creates a deeper sense of positivity, calmness and connection with nature.

The initiative reflects a growing interest in using cultural landmarks as community wellness spaces and promoting sustainable appreciation of local heritage.
