The Ganga Tat Yoga Yatra was held in Prayagraj prior to Yoga Day 2026
Ahead of International Day of Yoga 2026, a huge event was organised at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Prayagraj as part of the ‘Gangotri to Gangasagar: Ganga Tat Yoga Yatra’ campaign. The programme, led by the Ministry of AYUSH, brought together officials, yoga practitioners, local administration representatives and residents to celebrate wellness and public participation.
The eight-day yatra began in Gangotri on June 14 and is travelling across eight states along the course of the Ganga before concluding at Gangasagar on June 20. Yoga sessions are being conducted at prominent ghats to spread awareness about holistic health, sustainable living and environmental responsibility.
