Indore launches massive clean-up drive after traditional Gair Yatra celebrations
Hours after the vibrant Gair Yatra celebrations, civic workers in Indore launched a large-scale cleanliness drive, clearing streets around the historic Rajwada Palace and the procession route.
A large-scale sanitation drive was carried out in Indore on Sunday, soon after the traditional Gair Yatra celebrations concluded.
The event, held a few days after Holi, is a long-standing tradition believed to have begun during the reign of the Holkar Dynasty, when members of the royal family would step out to celebrate the festival alongside the public.
