Lokesh Mangal, a brass-printing artist based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has given fresh meaning to his traditional craft by celebrating the enduring relationship between India and Russia.

His latest work is a unique book featuring the English version of the Russian Constitution, meticulously engraved across 56 brass plates. The book contains all nine chapters and 137 articles of the Constitution, transformed into a lasting metal imprint.

According to Lokesh Mangal, brass artist, "The cost of this (brass book) is around 500 rupees. It weighs half a kilo, and 15 people worked to make this in 8 hours. It took about 10 PLT files to create it. It has 56 page. The pages have been cut manually by hand and holes were made in them just like they are made on plain paper. This has been made using simple tools and a simple process."

He has also produced brass-engraved editions of revered Indian mythological works, including the Ramayana, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Mahabharata.
