Actor Dhanush’s upcoming film OM is set for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, with makers unveiling the first teaser and officially revealing the title. Previously known as D55, the project is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and promises a high-octane action drama experience.
The teaser opens with terrified villagers before introducing Dhanush in a powerful action avatar. Set in a rain-drenched forest, the visuals show him taking on armed attackers while protecting innocent lives, hinting at an emotional and intense storyline.

The announcement was made through Instagram with the caption, “His arrival spells pure fire. Presenting the FIRST STRIKE – D55 is #OM.” Dhanush later reshared the update.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Mammootty, Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela. Music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, while production is backed by Wunderbar Films and RTake Studios.
