Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has praised Rajinikanth’s enduring stardom ahead of ‘Jailer 2’, saying the 76-year-old superstar continues to create magic and rewrite history after 51 years in cinema.

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has praised Superstar Rajinikanth ahead of the release of ‘Jailer 2’, celebrating the veteran actor’s enduring legacy and his ability to captivate audiences across generations. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial is set to hit theatres worldwide on October 15.
Taking to X on Tuesday, Anirudh reflected on Rajinikanth’s 51-year journey in cinema, highlighting how the actor continues to entertain audiences and create unforgettable moments even at 76.
“For generations, he has given us happiness, laughter, goosebumps and memories for a lifetime. At 76 and for the past 51 years, he still creates magic and rewrites history,” Anirudh wrote.
Building anticipation for the film’s release, the composer added that audiences would once again come together to celebrate the superstar’s enduring popularity.
“Tomorrow, once again for the 172nd time, the lights will dim, the screens will ignite and hopefully with all your wishes, the world will witness the love for a man who lives in the hearts of every Indian. One Sun. One Moon. And One :) #Jailer2 from tomo!” he added, tagging Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar and production house Sun Pictures.
‘Jailer 2’ cleared by censor board
The makers have confirmed that ‘Jailer 2’ has received a U/A certificate from the censor board. Sun Pictures announced the development on social media, further building anticipation for the film’s theatrical release.
The film’s trailer, released recently, offered a glimpse into the return of Rajinikanth as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The action-packed preview follows a group of antagonists trying to uncover the identity of the person behind a series of developments, eventually revealing the superstar’s character.

The trailer suggests that Tiger Muthuvel Pandian has gone off the radar by posing as a driver. His apparent disappearance is part of a larger plan to investigate whether the chain of command among his enemies extends beyond those already on his radar.
The preview also features S J Suryah as one of the antagonists, with the characters exchanging threats involving sniper attacks. Another notable moment features Vidya Balan, whose character offers Tiger Muthuvel Pandian a choice between tea and coffee, only to point out that refusing both is not an option.
The trailer also introduces the dreaded ‘Kalpaks’, setting up another confrontation for the returning Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. In a characteristically confident moment, he challenges the group and contrasts their old methods of intimidation with his own approach to dealing with enemies.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, ‘Jailer 2’ has generated considerable anticipation since its announcement. The sequel brings Rajinikanth back as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with the trailer promising a mix of action, humour and larger-than-life moments.
