BRICS goes green in Indore: Ministers plant saplings, ‘Indore declaration’ unveiled
BRICS delegates plant saplings at Indore’s BRICS Garden as India highlights sustainability and unveils the upcoming Indore Declaration.
Indore emerged as the centre of global agricultural cooperation and environmental action as delegates attending the BRICS Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting participated in a plantation drive at the BRICS Garden in Meghdoot Udhyan.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said Indore has become a global example of cleanliness and expressed pride in hosting international representatives. He stated that the BRICS meeting had been highly productive and that the plantation initiative was launched to create lasting memories of the summit while reflecting the warmth and hospitality of Indore.

Chouhan also announced that the official declaration emerging from the summit would be named the “Indore Declaration”. He said the plantation drive delivers a global message on the importance of environmental conservation and ensures delegates carry the memory of Indore’s BRICS summit into the future.
